Roddy Bottum says Faith No More reunion probably won’t happen

Faith No More’s most recent concert took place in 2016, but the band announced their return to the road in 2019, with many shows scheduled for 2020. However, the Covid-19 pandemic forced them to postpone all the dates. When they were finally set to return in 2021, the shows were canceled again. The following year, vocalist Mike Patton revealed that the reason was his mental health. He had been diagnosed with agoraphobia, a condition characterized by the fear of crowded places or leaving home. In the years that followed, Patton returned to the stage with Mr. Bungle, another band he is part of. Recently, drummer Mike Bordin said it seemed like Patton no longer wanted to play with Faith No More. Now, in an interview with Alternative Nation, keyboardist Roddy Bottum said that the band probably won’t reunite again. Roddy Bottum says Faith No More reunion probably won't happen "I don't think so. No. It's not just me. I don't think anyone's sort of up for it at this point. We had a bunch of shows that we were gonna play, and they got canceled, just for various reasons. But I don't think the course that we were on has fixed itself. I just don't see it happening again, honestly." "I think we did a really good job. We played a bunch of reunion tours, and I think we did what we kind of set out to do. So I don't think anyone's upset about it or anything. But I mean, for sure, getting back together would mean a big paycheck, but I think all of us are pretty good with what we did, sort of just, like, artistically with the band and committing to ourselves and playing with each other. I think we're all pretty good with the decisions that we've made up to now, and I don't see what could really happen more getting back together and doing more shows," Roddy Bottum said. One of the most influential bands from the last decades, Faith No More sold an estimated amount of more than 20 million records worldwide and were always known for their incredible live performances. The band was first active from 1979 to 1998 and then reunited in 2009. Since then the band toured until 2012, released the album “Sol Invictus” in 2015 and toured to promote that record. Besides the singer, the band’s current line-up has: Mike Bordin (Drums), Billy Gould (Bass), Roddy Bottum (Keyboards) and Jon Hudson (Guitar). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PbzMK8UmJhk&t=1s The post Roddy Bottum says Faith No More reunion probably won’t happen appeared first on Rock and Roll Garage.
