Colter Wall Teams Up With The Littlest Honky Tonk For Killer Live Performance Of New Track, “The Longer You Hold On”

A match made in heaven. After a long two years, Colter Wall is officially back (and arguably better than ever). If you recall, 2025 seemingly got off to a rocky start for Wall as he cancelled his February and March shows to October due to “personal reasons” regarding his mental and physical health. With that being said, however, the Canadian singer/songwriter is clearly doing better and is back to kick off the latest chapter of his career with the release of his sixth studio album, Memories and Empties, which releases NEXT Friday, November 14th. View this post on Instagram The Canadian superstar would officially kick things off with the release of the project’s lead single, “1,800 Miles” back in September. Taking aim at the Nashville machine, Wall held back zero punches with the release of the classic-sounding track. In the incredibly biting chorus, he points out that Nashville is filled with nothing more than flashing lights and rhinestone clothes, with the music being completely devoid of any fiddle and steel. Simply put, it was clear that the “Sleeping on the Blacktop” singer was out to prove he didn’t lose his edge over the past few years. Wall would then follow “1,800” miles up with the final two pre-released tracks, “Back to Me” and “The Longer You Hold On.” Appearing on two opposite sides of the love song spectrum, “Back to Me” finds Wall delivering a heartfelt ode to marriage while “The Longer You Hold On” provides a realistic view on a marriage lost to apathy on the Western-inspired heartbreaker. Given that Memories and Empties releases in just 10 days, Wall has decided to team up with none other than The Littlest Honky Tonk for a killer live performance of “The Longer You Hold On.” In the Instagram post announcing the collaboration, TLHT would sing Wall’s praises, proclaiming that he resuscitating the “nearly dead” Country & Western genre (a correct assessment I might add) in the caption. “We met up with Saskatchewan’s finest Colter Wall & his incredible band when they rolled through Calgary a few weeks back. Colter is true blue – when he’s not resuscitating the nearly dead country & western genre he’s chasing cattle on the Saskatchewan range. Colter has dedicated his time to a life spent living and his music is a reflection of that authenticity.  View this post on Instagram If you’re not familiar with The Littlest Honky Tonk, it is the world’s only travelling country and western museum and live music venue. Born from the vision of Albertan songwriter, Boots Graham, and his vintage clothing dealer wife, Laura Graham, the married duo took a 1970s horse trailer and transformed it completely to become both a stage for artists to perform while simultaneously being a museum filled with artifacts from dive bars and honky tonks around the country. Since launching in 2024, TLHT has hosted the likes of Canadian powerhouse and hot up-and-comer, Noeline Hoffmann, as well as the likes of Brennen Leigh, Sterling Drake and more. With that being said, however, they got their biggest viral moment when they teamed up with Post Malone earlier in the year to perform “Two Hearts” and “Ain’t How It Ends” off of his highly-successful country debut, F-1 Trillion. As for Wall’s performance of “The Longer You Hold On,” it’s nothing short of pure country gold. As we all know, the “Kate McCannon” singer is one of the few true honky tonkers out in the genre today, and it simply pairs beautifully with the aesthetics captured by The Littlest Honky Tonk. In many ways, it feels as if Wall and his music is simply built to exist in this type of setting. Undeniably rustic in setting and incredibly Western in the song’s production, everything about this live performance just screams Colter Wall. It’s simply that good. Memories and Empties Tracklist “1800 Miles” “My Present Just Gets Past Me” “Like the Hills” “Memories and Empties” “It’s Getting So (That a Man Can’t Go Into Town Just to Have Him a Drink)” “Living By the Hour” “4/4 Time” “The Longer You Hold On” “Back to Me” “Summer Wages” “Like the Hills (Alt.
