Muscadine Bloodline Announces They’re Already Heading Back To The Studio To Work On A New Album

Arguably the hardest-working artists in the genre. It’s not often you see an artist, duo or group release two separate albums in a single year, but that’s exactly what Muscadine Bloodline did in 2025. In addition to their follow-up to 2024’s The Coastal Plain, April’s …And What Was Left Behind, recently, the Alabama duo added to their fast-growing discography with the surprise release of Longleaf Lo-Fi, a stripped back acoustic album. Undeniably, it would already be impressive to produce two albums in the same year that are as good as the aforementioned …And What Was Left Behind and Longleaf Lo-Fi. With that being said, however, it becomes even more impressive when you look at just how busy the duo, comprised of Charlie Muncaster and Gary Stanton, truly were throughout the entirety of 2025. With the year slowly winding to a close and Thanksgiving being just one day away, it’s clear that Muscadine are feeling a whole bunch of gratitude for the huge year they’ve had this year. After setting the stage for the early parts of 2026 with the announcement of their Longleaf Lo-Fi acoustic tour last week, yesterday, they took to Instagram to reflect on all the major career accomplishments they’ve garnered throughout 2025 while simultaneously giving fans an update on even more new music coming soon. View this post on Instagram In a simple post straight from the notes app, Muscadine would begin by noting that they played their final show of 2025 this past Sunday in St. Petersburg, Florida, before reflecting on the fact that they themselves had been too caught up in the whirlwind of tour life to truly process everything throughout the year. “We played our last show of the year on Sunday. When you’re in the thick of it, you don’t realize it and here’s what we got to do in 2025…” In the second slide, they’d note all the touring accomplishments that include but aren’t limited to the following: their largest headline tour to date, a sold-out headlining show at Billy Bob’s Texas to a crowd of over 5,000, their first-ever headlining gig at an amphitheater at Sand Mountain Amphitheater in Albertville, Alabama, playing in Canada for the first time, performing at Red Rocks in support of reigning CMA Group of the Year, The Red Clay Strays, and, of course, supporting Lainey Wilson on her highly-successful Whirlwind Tour and performing at the iconic Madison Square Garden with her back in October. Before sharing a recap of some of the best moments of the year, which included the aforementioned Billy Bob’s show, Red Rocks nod and their appearance with Wilson at MSG, Muscadine would take a minute to thank both the fans and their road crew for all the support throughout the year. “Can’t thank y’all enough for the support this touring year and we couldn’t do it without our road family.” They’d also indicate that they are already planning to head back to the studio to work on even MORE new music heading into 2026, noting they’re returning after Thanksgiving to work on their seventh studio album, less than a month after the release of Longleaf Lo-fi. “After thanksgiving, we’re getting back in the studio next week to work on the next record. See y’all on the road in 2026!” Though they’d give no information surrounding the title or timeframe of the next album, it’s safe to say that it’ll be yet another killer outing from the duo arriving at some point in 2026. And of course, the incredibly rapid (and quality) releases once again show that Muscadine is not only one of the hardest-working duos in the genre but ultimately one of the best, even if award shows such as the CMAs continue to snub them year after year.
