Marilyn Manson Canceled

The opening concert of Marilyn Manson’s U.K. tour – set to take place October 29th in Brighton, England – is canceled following an online campaign by No Stage For Abusers and MP (Member of Parliament) Siân Berry. Berry composed an open letter to the Brighton and Hove City Council. “Many survivors in Brighton and Hove, and organizations supporting them, will have serious concerns about this booking and its wider impact on other people visiting the city center, local residents and the wider community,” she wrote. The letter was co-signed by some victim support groups and the University of Sussex students’ union. Siân Berry Others branded the cancelation as censorship. Eleven days earlier, council leader, Millie Earl, said Marilyn Manson’s Dorset, England gig should be canceled to “reinforce the message that violence against women and girls isn’t something that’s acceptable in our community.” Manson has repeatedly denied the accusations made by several women and dismissed them as “falsehoods.” ### The post Marilyn Manson Canceled appeared first on RockinTown.
