Five Finger Death Punch, Mammoth, Soulfly, Dayseeker & Bad Company Tribute Best Of… Vol. 2 10/24 Five Finger Death Punch: Best Of,,, Vol. 2 Marking its 20th anniversary, Five Finger Death Punch have released the second collection of newly recorded versions of previously released songs. The project came about when FFDP’s former label sold the original song masters without notifying the band or providing them the opportunity to reclaim those masters. The first single from “Best Of – Volume 2” was a version of “The End” featuring Babymetal. “I loved how my voice gradually got covered and engulfed by Ivan (Moody’s) growl, which gave me chills,” offered Babymetal vocalist Su-Metal. 10/24 Dayseeker: Creature Of The Night “There was this idea that we’d get more and more commercial over time,” noted Dayseeker vocalist Rory Rodriguez. “But I think the opposite happened — we’re riffing more, I’m screaming more. And it feels good. It feels honest.” “‘Creature In The Black Night’ is the darker part of your conscience overpowering you,” revealed Rodriguez talking about the album’s title track. “It’s about the rush you’re addicted to that you can’t ignore.” Creature Of The Night The End 10/24 Mammoth: The End Mammoth (formerly Mammoth WVH) is led by songwriter, vocalist, and multi-instrumentalist Wolfgang Van Halen. The album was recorded at the 5150 studio in L.A. with produced Michael “Elvis” Baskette. The album’s title track landed in the Top 5 at Active Rock radio while generating nearly four million views. Chama 10/24 Soulfly: Chama “Chama is the Brazilian word for ‘flame’. It also means a ‘calling’, commented Soulfly frontman Max Cavalera. “‘Chama’ is inspired by the energy of this moment. This record is the sound of Soulfly’s fire!” “With each Soulfly record I’ve played on, I can feel my evolution happening in real time,” noted Soulfly drummer and album co-producer Zyon Cavalera. “I got to handle a good amount of the production for the first time. Trying to take the band to places we have never been before was a blast.” Bad Company Tribute 10/24 Multiple Artists: Can’t Get Enough: A Tribute To Bad Company Dirty Honey contributed a rendition of Bad Company’s “Rock Steady” to the effort. “Bad Company are plain and simply one of the cornerstones of Rock and Roll,” states Marc LaBelle, Dirty Honey’s lead vocalist. “Their music has been part of the soundtrack of my life for as long as I can remember. Paul Rodgers’s voice is timeless, classic, and like a fine wine only got better with age.” ### The post Albums Out Now! appeared first on RockinTown.
