The track is from “Not Like Everybody Else,” a covers album — dedicated to the memory of Brian James, the band’s founding guitarist, who passed away on March 6th, 2025.
The song’s official music video was directed by Gilbert Trejo and filmed during the band’s recent U.S. tour — including a show at the inaugural CBGB Festival in Brooklyn, NY.
“Not Like Everybody Else” marks the first time in 40 years that Rat Scabies has returned to the studio with the band.
The Damn were founded in 1976. Brian James left the group after the release of their second album, “Music For Pleasure,” in 1977.

Pendulum
Puscifer: Pendulum
“The dramatic and romantic nature of this track induces a sonic sense memory that transports me back to the dark and moody dance floor of Club Iguana, Austin, TX, circa 1985. I can almost smell the clove cigarettes,” noted Maynard James Keenan.
“Pendulum” is the second single from “Normal Isn’t,” the band’s its first new album in over five years. (“Self Evident” was the lead single.) The set will drop on February 6th.
“‘Normal Isn’t’ reflects this time we are living in,” Keenan added. “As storytellers and artists, our job is to observe, interpret, and report. We take in our environment and share what we see, and what we see around us does not appear normal.”

Trivium: Struck Dead
“When we wrote it last year when we were rehearsing, we’ve probably been playing that song for almost a year or so,” bassist Paolo Gregoletto revealed. “Playing it in the set, it kind of feels like an old song to us at this point, since we played it so many times up until this point. So, it’ll fit right in real naturally with the rest of the songs in the set.”
The song is the title track from the recently released EP.
“We feel that ‘Struck Dead‘ (the EP) stands as the first step into a bold new era for us,” Gregoletto continued.
Trivium are currently on a tour that runs through December 14th, closing with a hometown show in Orlando.
