Shinedown has released the ballad “Searchlight,” a song that was first performed live during the band’s Grand Ole Opry debut last month. Shinedown frontman Brent Smith told the audience “we didn’t find this one, it found us.” “‘Searchlight’ is a song about owning your true feelings,” Smith offered following the song’s release. “It’s an awakening of the soul.
