The one thing Gene Simmons says he regrets about Ace Frehley
The late guitarist Ace Frehley, who recently passed away at the age of 74, was one of the co-founders of Kiss back in 1973 alongside Paul Stanley, Gene Simmons and Peter Criss. He was part of the band until 1982 when he decided to leave, returning from 1996 to 2002. Over the decades Paul and Gene didn't say many good things about him and Peter, often complaining about their behavior and substance abuse.
During the recent Kiss Kruise event in Las Vegas, Simmons revealed the one thing he regrets about Ace.

"If I have any regrets, my hand to God, it's that I sometimes — and I think we all go through this sometimes — wish we were smarter and better at trying to help Ace (Frehley) and Peter (Criss) have better lives.
"Let's just continue doing the tour because you want to get through it for selfish reasons because it's working, and the chicks, and the money, and you don't want to ruin anything. "Meantime, somebody who might be your brother is ruining their life by bad decisions."
"Tough love is a good idea in my opinion, with your children, with the people you love, with the people you care about, with the people you work with. It's not going to be a popular thing or you're going to argue about it, but in the long run you're going to be helping that person hopefully change their life. She whacked me on the butt, but my mother quit smoking. And that's what it's about," Gene Simmons said as noted by People.
After Kiss he formed Frehley’s Comet, releasing two albums and then focused on his solo career. His final album was “10,000 Volts”, released in 2024 but he was currently working on his third covers album “Origins Vol. 3”, which will probably be released in the future.
