UNDER 20-MINUTE GARLIC BREAD RECIPE
Have you tried making this Cheesy Hawaiian Roll Garlic Bread before or a version of it? If you haven’t, you need to! They are seriously so FLIPPING good! They’re a little messy (I mean, it uses a whole stick of butter!) but so, so, so good! Seriously, we made these Garlic Bread pieces into a whole meal with a salad and some marinara sauce for dipping. But it could be a side for spaghetti night or to use when you have pizza night too or a delicious appetizer!
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:
Can I make this Garlic Bread ahead of time? Yes! You can make this the day before then just pop it in the oven before you are ready to serve it. You’ll get that cheese nice and toasty and melted again so it pulls apart just right. It may take a few extra minutes. What do I do if the rolls start to brown too much? Do not over bake as the tops of the Hawaiian Rolls can get too dark. If you find this happening you may want to cover them with aluminum foil so they don’t darken, but the cheese gets melted properly. How do I serve Cheesy Hawaiian Roll Garlic Bread? As I said earlier, I’ve made this as a whole meal with a salad and served it with some marinara sauce for dipping the bread into. But, they could totally just be a side for your next spaghetti night or to serve with some pizza too. How do I store leftovers? You can keep this in the fridge for up to 4 days. You can reheat them for 10-15 seconds. They will be soft, but you will not be disappointed!
INGREDIENTS NEEDED: (SEE RECIPE CARD BELOW FOR THE FULL RECIPE)
unsalted butter– softened to room temperature. If you forgot to pull it out of the fridge earlier in the day, use these Tips to Soften Butter Fast. I prefer unsalted, as this allows you to control the amount of salt especially with the use of garlic salt later, but, you can certainly used salted butter if that is what you have. There isn’t a whole lot of salt in salted butter anyways.
grated parmesan– you can grate it by hand but the green bottle stuff works perfect for this.
garlic cloves– Freshly minced garlic is kind of important for this recipe. It really makes a difference in taste compared to the jarred stuff. Obviously, if you really want to use the jarred, that’s fine but you’re gonna get SO much better flavor with freshly minced garlic!
fresh parsley– if you don’t have fresh parsley, you can use dried parsley instead.
garlic salt– this adds more garlic to the dish and the perfect amount of salt in my opinion.
Hawaiian rolls – you can use any brand.
shredded mozzarella cheese– mozzarella cheese is always the perfect choice for garlic bread. When it melts, it gives it that melty pulling apart cheese look.
HOW TO MAKE CHEESY HAWAIIAN ROLL GARLIC BREAD:
Preheat the oven to 400° F. To a small bowl, add the butter, parmesan, minced garlic, parsley, and salt. Mix until combined. Set aside.
To a parchment paper-lined 9×13-inch baking dish/ sheet, add the Hawaiian rolls. Make two slits down the center of the Hawaiian rolls. Make sure you don’t cut all the way through to the bottom.
Stuff the rolls with the mozzarella cheese. Do your best to push it down in there as best as you can. Spread the garlic butter mixture on top.
Bake, uncovered, for 10 minutes or until the cheese is fully melted.
