I love sweet and savory finger foods. If you’re a fan of bacon, these Bacon-Wrapped Dates are a must try. These stuffed dates are simple to prepare and I love the contrast of the sweet dates with the tanginess of the feta cheese. The pecans are coated in honey, salt, and cayenne pepper and then baked. Once cool, chop them into little pieces. Can be made a few days in advance. Variations Walnuts can be substituted for pecans. Add a little extra cayenne pepper to up the spice. Instead of candied pecans, or in addition to, try adding some crumbled bacon on top. Try using goat cheese or mascarpone cheese in place of feta cheese. Recipe Tips The dates can be stuffed with the cheese mixture up to 24 hours in advance. Store in a plastic bag in the refrigerator. Storage Leftovers will keep for 3 days in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
