85 Years Ago—Feb. 10, 1941: Adm. François Darlan becomes Vice President of the Council (deputy prime minister) of the French State (Vichy France), as well as foreign minister, minister of information, and minister of the navy.
RAF Short Stirling heavy bombers are first used in combat, in a raid on German-occupied Rotterdam in the Netherlands.
