Lately, he’s taken over for Bruce Kulick in Grand Funk Railroad, yet he remains underappreciated. “I’m one of those guys who’s been around, but faceless and nameless to the masses,” Chatfield tells ClassicRockHistory.com. “I was never very good at self-promotion and tooting my own horn,” he explains. “In my hometown, I didn’t need to.
