Alissa White-Gluz Announces New Band
The former Arch Enemy and The Agonist frontwoman has announced on Instagram the formation of Blue Medusa.
“After twenty years performing on the world’s biggest stages, I’m entering a new creative chapter,” stated White-Gluz. “Blue Medusa is the next evolution of everything I’ve been building toward; a project where my full artistic vision can exist without limits. You’ll hear blazing guitar solos, crushing riffs, brutal vocals, fast and aggressive drums, thoughtful melodies, and deeply introspective lyrics layered with meaning.”
Between 2007 -2012, White-Gluz recorded three full-length albums and one EP with The Agonist. She went to release 4 studio albums, one live set and a compilation album from 2014 – 2025 with Arch Enemy.
Arch Enemy played its final show with White-Gluz at the close of the band’s European “Blood Dynasty” 2025 tour on November 15th in Düsseldorf, Germany.
“I chose to share this news on International Women’s Day (3/8) because building stronger platforms for women in heavy music is something I care deeply about,” White-Gluz continued, “I’ve been carving my own path in this genre for a long time, and I want to help pave the road for the next generation of women who love Metal as much as I do.”
