Hurricane was formed in the early 1980s in Los Angeles‚ California. The original lineup consisted of vocalist Kelly Hansen‚ guitarist Robert Sarzo‚ bassist Tony Cavazo‚ and drummer Jay Schellen. The band’s formation was a confluence of experienced musicians‚ with Cavazo and Sarzo having connections to already established musicians (Carlos Cavazo of Quiet Riot and Rudy Sarzo of Ozzy Osbourne and Quiet Riot‚ respectively).
