The number of missing children around the US is quite overwhelming and huge.
Records show that every year 460,000 reports for missing children are made.
Some of these children luckily were able to reunite with their families.
But it’s not all of them; some weren’t able to get to see their loved ones anymore.
Steve Carter had always had questions about his childhood such as why was his birth
certificate created a year after his birth and who were his biological parents.
Carter was adopted from an orphanage in Honolulu, Hawaii. He was taken into a loving
family that gave him everything he would want from life – and his adoptive parents
were wonderful.
To fill in all the questions that he has in mind Steve Carter was browsing online
and came across a missing children’s website.
To his astonishment, after clicking through the pages, he found himself. He found
an age-progression photo from a kidnapping that occurred in Hawaii more than thirty
years ago – and that photo looked just like him."
