It is deeply sad that this young woman died, but its not uncommon for people who want to help to be murdered by the very people they want to help.

FOREIGN. The trial of a 32-year-old Sudanese man suspected of murdering French asylum activist Audrey Coignard, 27, began on Tuesday, L'Orne Combattante reports.
It was on September 16, 2019 that medical student Audrey Coignard was killed with 14 stab wounds in Saint-Ouen in northern France.
She was later found in a pool of her own blood.
The now 32-year-old man, an illegal immigrant from Sudan, had previously had a relationship with the 27-year-old and lived at her home. He was previously known by the police for violent crimes.
The friends describe Audrey Coignard as a fiery soul who was strongly committed to helping so-called refugees from the third world. She volunteered to care for immigrants in Normandy.
"Audrey fought for a united and equal society," wrote three of her friends in a statement quoted by L'Orne Combattante.
The friends continue.
"Audrey's memory must never be hijacked by xenophobes and racists."
The trial of the African will be held in Bobigny from 1 to 4 February.
