Paramore will be this year’s Record Store Day Ambassadors. Paramore (frontwoman Haley Williams pictured above) is an indie band after a 20-year tenure with Atlantic Records that concluded in ’23. Their last album for the label‚ “This Is Why‚” won a Grammy as the first-ever female-fronted act to take home Best Rock Album honor. “Our first order of business as a freshly independent Paramore is to shine a light on independent record stores— a vital part of our journey from music obsessed school friends to professional music makers‚” stated Paramore. “Indie record shops are some of the only spaces we’ve got that offer a tangible‚ tactile experience of music discovery‚” added the band.
