“Hate To Love: Nickelback
The Nickelback documentary “Hate To Love: Nickelback” will come to cinemas worldwide for two nights only on March 27th and 30th. The film premiered last September at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF).
In true documentary fashion “Hate To Love: Nickelback” tells the story of humble beginnings to global success. The film takes a unique turn when it celebrates the loyalty of Nickelback fans while covering the continuous online vitriol and the impact it had on each of the band members.
Despite their massive success‚ or because of it‚ Nickelback became the most disliked band in America and the butt of countless jokes‚
The tables turned when the band returned after a five-year break with an album (“Ger Rollin;”) and a successful sold-out tour‚ accompanied by online support.
“I think there’s been a softening — there really has‚ thankfully‚” said Nickelback’s Chad Kroeger in a recent interview on KFMA-FM. “I’m not sure if it’s because we receive a ton of love on TikTok or whatever the hell it is‚ but for whatever reason the teeth have kind of been removed. It’s really nice‚ it’s really nice to not be Public Enemy Number One.”
Tickets for the global theatrical release go on sale beginning February 22nd at 10 a.m. ET at NickelbackFilm.com. The feature-length documentary will be screened in 30 countries.
