Paramore Pass On Home State Honor

Tennessee’s state House Republicans passed a resolution (on 2/12) honoring the Grammy achievements of Paramore‚ who won for Best Rock Album and Best Alternative Music Performance awards but failed to recognize fellow Tennessee resident Allison Russell‚ who picked up a Grammy for Best American Roots performance for the song “Eve Was Black.” Paramore frontwoman Haley Williams called the decision “blatant racism” and said the band will not accept ‘any acknowledgment or honor from the TN House’ until Russell is also recognized.” The post Paramore Pass On Home State Honor appeared first on RockinTown.
