FOREIGN. Pyotr Tolstoy, Vice President of the Russian Duma, threatens to deploy robots at the border if Finland or Sweden join NATO.
ITV News reporter Emma Burrows reports on Twitter that Pyotr Tolstoy on Wednesday explained to her that Finland "is full of mosquitoes".
Tolstoy then went on to explain what happens if Finland joins NATO:
- We have robots that we will place at the border with Finland, Sweden, Poland and in Kaliningrad. We will guarantee our safety so that no mosquitoes will want to fly to our border.
On social media, many have commented on Pjotr Tolstoy's proposal, pointing out that Russia has no border with Sweden.
