Dave Matthews Band Leads Rock Hall Vote

The Dave Matthews Band (Matthews pictured above) leads the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame’s annual Fan Vote for induction into the Hall with over 360‚000 votes of more than 2.7-million cast. Last month‚ Ozzy Osbourne (pictured) led the pack with over 175‚000 votes followed by Foreigner‚ Peter Frampton and Dave Matthews Band (153‚000). Ozzy is now in second with just over 325‚000 votes. But just a few thousand votes separate Ozzy from Foreigner (324‚000) and Peter Frampton (321‚000). Ozzy and Frampton are first time nominees though Ozzy was inducted in ’06 as a member of Black Sabbath. Often‚ but not always‚ the winner of the Fan Vote gets inducted. Fans can vote for nominees daily through April 26th at Vote.rockhall.com. To be eligible for this year’s ballot‚ each nominee’s first single or album had to have been released in ’99 or earlier.
