Joe Lynn Turner is an American singer, songwriter, and musician born on August 2, 1951, in Hackensack, New Jersey. He is best known for his work with bands such as Rainbow, Deep Purple, and Yngwie Malmsteen’s Rising Force. Turner began his music career in the early 1970s with the band Fandango before joining Rainbow in 1980.
