Straylight Run is an American indie rock band formed in 2003 in Baldwin, New York. The band was started by John Nolan (vocals, guitar, piano) and Shaun Cooper (bass) after they left the band Taking Back Sunday. They were soon joined by John’s sister, Michelle DaRosa (vocals, piano), and Will Noon (drums). The band is known for their melodic, introspective style that blends indie rock and emo influences. Straylight Run released two full-length studio albums: Straylight Run (2004) and The Needles the Space (2007).
