This has been planed a long time ago in Sweden, it frees up houses for the imports
Half a million Swedes may be forced to leave their homes

ECONOMY. A doubling of the interest rate alone would lead to half a million adult Swedes being forced to leave their homes, shows a survey from SVT/Novus.
The Swedish middle class is hit hard when interest rates are about to return to normal levels after many years of wild borrowing.
The Riksbank has now raised the key interest rate to 1.75 percent, and further sharp increases are expected in the future.
In Novus' survey, only 4 out of 10 respond that they can afford a doubling of the interest rate. Seven percent state that they may have to move.
- Seven percent may sound a little, but it is about half a million adult Swedes, says Torbjörn Sjöström, CEO of Novus, to SVT.
Claudia Wörmann, housing economist at SBAB, tells Aftonbladet that we are now in "a very serious situation":
- It is not only the interest rate that has slipped away, it is also fundamental factors such as electricity, food and fuel. It's not so easy to draw on all that.
