Joy Division were one of the key bands in the British post-punk movement of the late 1970s and early 80s. Consisting of Ian Curtis (lead vocals), Bernard Sumner (guitar, keyboards), Peter Hook (bass), and Stephen Morris (drums), the group from the suburbs of Manchester, UK became cultural legends for their deeply emotional, dark and brooding music. Sadly, the group only released two studio albums, one independent EP, and a handful of singles during their two-year peak from 1978 to 1980.
