The man in his 20s who was arrested on Saturday on suspicion of murdering a pregnant woman in central Örebro was remanded in custody at Örebro district court on Tuesday. Even if he were to be convicted, he cannot be deported due to Swedish citizenship since 2016.
It was last Saturday that the police were called to an apartment in Örebro due to a serious armed crime. On the spot, pregnant Saga was found dead and it was suspected that someone exposed her to a serious crime. A preliminary investigation into murder was launched and on Saturday evening a man was arrested on reasonable suspicion of murder.
The suspect, 21-year-old Mohamedamin Abdirisek Ibrahim, was arrested after questioning by prosecutors on suspicion of murder and has now been detained on the higher level of suspicion.
- They had a relationship with each other, says prosecutor Elisabeth Anderson to Expressen.

According to the prosecutor, there is a risk that the man tries to remove evidence or otherwise complicates the investigation if he is released.
Ibrahim's lawyer, Soren Abbaszadeh, says his client denies wrongdoing and will oppose detention in the upcoming detention hearing.
Mohamedamin Abdirisek Ibrahim, is previously convicted of attempted robbery and illegal driving and is a Somali citizen. He was registered in Sweden in October 2012 and also received Swedish citizenship in 2016.
