Biden in new misrepresentation - mixed up Zelensky and Putin

US President Joe Biden has for a long time been noticed for confused statements and actions that indicate that his mental faculties are failing. In his closing speech at the NATO summit in Vilnius, Biden mixed up the first names of the Ukrainian and Russian presidents, calling the former "Vladimir".

The incidents in which the aging American president has acted confused in various ways have replaced each other recently. And on Wednesday it was time again.

During the closing ceremony of the NATO summit held in the Lithuanian capital Vilnius, Biden had difficulty keeping apart the two main opponents in the war, Ukrainian President Zelensky and Russian President Putin.


Some attribute the mistake to the fact that the two presidents have first names that resemble each other: Volodomyr and Vladimir respectively. Others believe that it must be added to the long line of misstatements and other strange incidents for which Biden has been noticed for a long time and which indicate that due to old age he is no longer quite in the full use of his senses.

Confused the Ukraine war with the former Iraq war
It is also not the first time that the American president has been raving about the war in Ukraine. Recently, in a media interview, he called it the "Iraq War" which he believed Putin was about to lose.


Appeared confused with Britain's King Charles
As recently as Monday, Biden was also noticed for another confused behavior. That time in connection with his witnessing a ceremony at Windsor Castle together with Britain's King Charles. Biden did not seem aware of his whereabouts and had to be led away by the British king.


Did not appear during the closing dinner
After the mistake in his speech at the closing ceremony of the NATO summit, the American president also disappeared and did not appear at the big dinner that rounded off the meeting and which is normally attended by the leaders of all participating countries.

No official reason has been given as to why Biden chose to take the unconventional approach to early evening, other than that he needed to prepare for another speech .
