FOREIGN. By all accounts, there will be a change of power in Norway. The Social Democratic Labor Party, together with the Center Party and the Socialist Left, together have a majority of the voter support in Monday's election, according to forecasts.


AP leader Jonas Gahr Støre looks set to become Norway's next prime minister.

- We have waited, we have hoped and worked so hard, and now we can finally say that we managed it, Støre said in his victory speech, reports SVT Nyheter.

Norwegian Prime Minister Erna Solberg has called Jonas Gahr Støre and congratulated him on the election victory, reports Aftenposten.

Swedish Prime Minister Stefan Löfven congratulates his Norwegian colleague on Twitter.

"I am pleased to be able to congratulate my friend Jonas Gahr Støre on the election success. Norway is one of the countries we in Sweden have most in common with and we have much to gain from continuing our close cooperation for strong societies that take responsibility for the climate." , writes Löfven.
