Eleven people were wounded in a mass stabbing on the Huntingdon train in Cambridgeshire, UK. Anthony Williams, 32, from Peterborough was arrested on 10 counts of attempted murder, 1 count of actual bodily harm (ABH), and 1 count of possession of a bladed weapon. Five patients remain in the hospital in stable condition, although one is critical. He was dressed in all black as police tasered him into submission.

Police also charged him with another count of attempted murder and possession of a bladed weapon from a previous incident on November 1 at the Pontoon Dock DLR (Docklands Light Railway) in London.

One survivor described how she pleaded with the attacker not to kill her, before he gave a chilling response.

Dayna Arnold was in the same train car as the suspect when he began slashing at “anyone he could find,” she told the Sun.

“He came at me with the knife and I begged, ‘Please don’t.’ Then something shifted in his face and he just carried on. I feel very fortunate to still be alive,” Arnold said.

“Then a minute or so later he came back through, looked at me again and said ‘the devil’s not going to win,’ and continued on,” she said. The New York Post

Despite passengers warning Stephen not to intervene, he confronted the attacker and stepped between him and a child. He was stabbed but is currently recovering at home.

Anthony Williams is suspected in three knife attacks in the area; Huntingdon is just one of them.
