It’s almost the most wonderful time of the year — and for WEST, MeTV’s new all-Western spinoff channel, that means it’s time for some special holiday episode of Western favorites like Gunsmoke, Laramie, Cheyenne, and Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman. Tune in on the weekend before Christmas, Christmas Eve, and Christmas day to learn the true meaning of the holiday … Old West style.

Saturday, December 20

8am: Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman: “Dr. Mike’s Dream: A Christmas Tale”

In this homage to A Christmas Carol, Dr. Mike (Jane Seymour) wonders what her life would have been like if she had never pursued a life as a doctor

11am: Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman: “A First Christmas”

When a Jewish family moves to town, many locals struggle to accept them, but they are embraced by Dr. Mike and her family, who know what it’s like to be outsiders.

8pm: Cheyenne: “The Long Winter”

Cheyenne must wait out the winter with two men when the weather turns bad during a cattle drive.

9pm: Cheyenne: “The Angry Sky”

In the show’s season three finale, Christmas celebrations take a turn for the dangerous when Cheyenne spends the holiday with a judge who has a secret double life.

Just days before Christmas, Jason meets a pair of young orphans on the run — and finds out that one has been accused of murder.

On his way home for the holidays, Jim is robbed by a thief who steals the gift he’d intended for his mother. Jim gives pursuit … and makes a surprising discovery.

Bill travels in a stagecoach alongside a man and his pregnant wife, who are journeying to the man’s home for Christmas. When the man dies defending the stagecoach from attackers, Bill must convince the woman’s prejudiced father-in-law to take her in.

7am: Daniel Boone: “The Christmas Story”

A Christmas blizzard becomes more complicated as food becomes scarce and a Native American couple, about to have their first child, show up seeking shelter from the storm.

3:30pm: Laramie: “A Sound of Bells”

An odd group of strangers, including a bandit, take refuge at the ranch on Christmas as the Sioux ready an attack.

4:30pm: Gunsmoke: “Magnus”

Chester’s “uncivilized” brother pays a Christmas visit to Dodge, and Chester is nervous that his wild brother (who prefers living in caves to town) will embarrass him. But Magnus Goode teaches everyone a lesson about judging books by their covers
