The Sunday after Christmas, you’ll have spent plenty of quality time with your own family — so settle in and make some time for TV’s favorite families, as MeTV airs their “Very Special Sunday” marathon of classic sitcom reunion episodes. Starting at 11am EST on Sunday, December 28, 2025, MeTV will air five classic reunion episodes, featuring the casts of Happy Days, The Andy Griffith Show, I Love Lucy, Everybody Loves Raymond and All in the Family.
11am-1pm: Happy Days 30th Anniversary Reunion (2005)
This blockbuster two hour special brought together Ron Howard, Henry Winkler, Marian Ross, Tom Bosley, Erin Moran, Scott Baio, Don Most, Anson Williams, and Ted McGinley, plus Penny Marshall, Cindy Williams, and show creator Garry Marshall, for a round table chat and plenty of clips.
This was actually the second Happy Days reunion; the first aired in 1992. However, that special didn’t reunite the cast, who did solo interviews about their time on the show instead. Erin Moran also didn’t participate in that one.
1pm-2pm: The Andy Griffith Show Reunion (1993)
Do any of these reunion specials not have Ron Howard in them? Just kidding. But Howard is present in this cast reunion for his very first show, alongside Griffith, Don Knotts, Jim Neighbors and George Lindsay. The citizens of Mayberry reunited to look back at their classic show — but this wasn’t the first time they got back together. In 1986, Howard, Griffith, Knotts, Neighbors and Lindsay — alongside Andy Griffith Show costars Betty Lynn and Aneta Corsaut — reunited for Return to Mayberry, a made-for-TV movie that saw the birth of Opie’s first child, and the marriage of Barney and Thelma Lou.
2pm-4pm: I Love Lucy 50th Anniversary Special (2001)
Despite the fact that Desi Arnaz died in 1986 and Lucy herself had passed away in 1989, this special pays tribute to the show through clips, rare behind-the-scenes material, and interviews with their children, Luci and Desi Arnaz Jr., as well as celebrity admirers including Cher, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Lily Tomlin, Dick Van Dyke, and Barbara Walters.
4pm-5pm: Everybody Loves Raymond: The First Six Years (2002)
Rather than reuniting the cast (which wouldn’t have been very hard — the show was still in active production until 2005), this special provides best-of moments from the blockbuster show’s first six seasons, with commentary from famous fans including Larry King, Bob Newhart, Norman Lear, Mary Tyler Moore, Martin Short, Billy Bob Thornton and … Ron Howard (I told you, they can’t make these specials without including him!).
Of course, the series did recently have an actual cast reunion, Everybody Loves Raymond: 30th Anniversary Reunion, celebrating 20 years since the show ended, on November 24, 2025. It can be streamed only on Paramount+.
5pm-6:30pm: All in the Family: The 200th Episode Celebration (1979)

The special, taped just a few months before the show aired its final episode, featured series creator Normal Lear taking viewers through important clips from the show’s run, before bringing out stars Carroll O’Connor, Jean Stapleton, Sally Struthers, and Rob Reiner. In an interesting twist, this clip show was taped in front of a live audience of contest winners — who also got attend an after-party with the cast members.
