Starting on Sunday, January 4, 2026, MeTV will be taking viewers back to the era when angels walked the earth, and love was exciting and new, with “Aaron Spelling Sundays”: a weekly four-hour programming block dedicated to four of the TV legend’s biggest shows: Charlie’s Angels, Fantasy Island, The Love Boat and Hart to Hart.

Beginning at 2pm EST each Sunday, viewers can settle in to view the work of the man with the official title of most prolific TV producer in American history — that’s right, Spelling produced 218 shows!

2pm: Charlie’s Angels

First up, fans can watch Spelling’s first signature hit, which initially starred Farrah Fawcett, Kate Jackson, and Jaclyn Smith as three beautiful detectives fighting crime in Los Angeles. Fawcett was replaced by Cheryl Ladd in the second season, and after Kate Jackson left the show, she was replaced first by Shelly Hack and then by Tanya Roberts. Smith was the only Angel to remain with the show its full five season run.

3pm: Hart to Hart

Stefanie Powers and Robert Wagner starred as a married couple who use their extreme wealth in the exact same way any of us would: to solve mysterious crimes! Created by Sidney Sheldon (who also created I Dream of Jeannie and The Patty Duke Show, and had a long and acclaimed career as a novelist), Hart to Hart was conceived as a throwback to classic spy and crime films — so much so that supposedly, Spelling’s original choice for Jonathan Hart was none other than Cary Grant. Unfortunately, Grant was 75 at the time, so the production instead went with Robert Wagner, who was a comparatively youthful 49.

4pm: Fantasy Island

One of the great TV history stories is that Fantasy Island began as a joke — a frustrated Spelling pitched ABC executive Brandon Stoddard the idea of a show where everyone’s fantasies came true after Stoddard rejected Spelling’s other ideas. But obviously the show became much more than a joke, running for seven seasons, often airing after Spelling’s The Love Boat. Much like with casting Hart to Hart, there was an attempt to bring classic Hollywood into the production: according to a Television Academy Foundation interview with Spelling, executives wanted Orson Welles as Mr. Roarke. However, Spelling thought he’d be too difficult to work with, and went with Ricardo Montalbán instead.

5pm: The Love Boat

One of Spelling’s longest-running shows, The Love Boat graced TV screens for nine seasons of romantic shenanigans on the high seas. A few cast members went on to long careers — but only one went on to become a four-term congressman. Yes, Fred Grady, who played Gopher, followed up his Spelling era by serving eight years in the U.S. House of Representatives, representing Iowa. After a failed 1994 bid for governor, he pursued a career in political talk radio.
