JUPITER, FL — In a move described by insiders as “long overdue and entirely voluntary,” the conservative Christian satire website The Babylon Bee announced Tuesday that it is officially changing its name to The Babylon Bibi, effective immediately.

CEO Seth Dillon explained the decision in a prepared statement, emphasizing the outlet’s deep admiration for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin “Bibi” Netanyahu, whom sources close to the company referred to simply as “our boss.”

“For years, we’ve prided ourselves on fearless satire that punches in every direction—except, of course, one very specific and heavily fortified direction,” Dillon said. “This rebrand honors the guiding light who has inspired so much of our content, even when we weren’t explicitly told to. It’s not submission; it’s synergy.”

The name change reportedly follows months of internal discussions prompted by criticism that the site’s humor has shown an unmistakable pattern of unwavering support for certain international figures. Critics, including former commentator Candace Owens, had previously accused the outlet of “worshipping Israel” and basing jokes on those who fail to adequately revere Netanyahu.

Dillon dismissed such claims as “wildly exaggerated,” adding that the new name merely reflects “editorial priorities that were already crystal clear to anyone paying attention.”

The rebrand includes a subtle logo update: the site’s iconic bee mascot will now wear a tiny blue-and-white yarmulke and carry a small sling for symbolic stone-throwing purposes.

Industry analysts predict the change will have minimal impact on readership, as many subscribers were said to be “already operating under the assumption that this was the case.”

At press time, sources confirmed that future headlines will continue business as usual, with only minor adjustments to ensure no unintended offense to the namesake. A spokesperson clarified: “Satire remains our top priority—right after alignment.”
