Many fans of Jane Seymour‘s ’90s Western drama Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman would love to see the show back on the airwaves — and many of the show’s cast members agree. Dr. Quinn stars including William Shockley, Joe Lando and Seymour herself have posted photos to social media with the hashtag #Bringbackdrquinn, and in a recent interview, Shockley announced that all living cast members were on board for a reunion, and series creator Beth Sullivan was working on a script.
On December 5, Shockley, 62, who played Hank Lawson on the show, posted “Some of the greatest times of my life were spent with @therealjoelando – ‘Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman’ was a magical moment in time. We still have stories to tell about Michela, Sully, Hank, Myra and the wonderful cast. Join us to #bringbackdrquinn”
In July 2025, Lando, who played Byron Sully on the show, posted a photo of himself with Seymour and Shockley, with the caption “No fooling around this time. LETS DO IT!!! #bringbackdrquinn”
Seymour, who is currently starring on the Acorn TV mystery series Harry Wild, posted a photo of herself acting silly with Lando and Shockley in December 2022, with the caption “These popped back up recently so I thought, why not do a #TBT to a couple of my favourite photos from last year!? ?? #bringbackdrquinn”
In an April 2025 interview with Cowboys & Indians Magazine, Shockley said of a possible reunion, “We’ve been trying to do that. Jane will do it. I will do it. Joe Lando will do it. The cast members that are still with us, every single one of us will do it. There’s been drafts written. There just hasn’t been a draft written yet that really captures what Jane and Joe and I feel should be put forward. But Beth Sullivan’s working on it as we speak. I’ve talked to Beth dozens of times about getting that script right. … When that script gets written by Beth, which one day I hope it will sooner than later, everybody’s on board to do a reunion film.”
Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman ran for six seasons, from 1993 to 1998, on CBS; Seymour was nominated for an Emmy for her work and won one Golden Globe. Some of the cast has already had a reunion, though perhaps not in the way fans would prefer: in 2014, the comedy site Funny or Die created a parody video called “Dr. Quinn, Morphine Woman,” a spin on Breaking Bad in which Quinn is now an evil doctor who has gotten all the town’s residents addicted to morphine. The skit starred Seymour, Lando and the now-deceased Orson Bean.
