The United Nations is not useless.
If it were useless, it would just be a waste of time and money. It is more accurate to say that the United Nations exists to prop up evil regimes and slander Western countries.

It is in that context that we should all look at the United Nations' silence on the horrific slaying of Iranian protesters. So far, the best we have gotten from anybody at the United Nations is the UN Secretary General releasing a strongly worded tweet urging Iran to not be so obviously evil.

It's been 15 days you dumbass

Iran has, in the past couple of weeks, likely killed 12,000 or so of its own citizens, which is about 1/6th of the number of people killed in an actual war between Israel and Hamas that went on for two years. We don't know the percentage of victims who were civilians, but in terms of the sheer rate of casualties, it's not even close, and the killing continues.
Remember: The U.N. recently held emergency Security Council meetings to condemn the arrest of Venezuelan dictator Nicolas Maduro, and to condemn Israel's recognition of Somaliland. Yet the U.N. is refusing to hold any emergency meeting for 12,000 protesters slaughtered in Iran. https://t.co/iNAKKItGwI

The UN spoke endlessly about that war, never really acknowledging Israel's right to self-defense from self-declared genocidal maniacs. The protests in Iran are driven by the fact that the regime kills women for not wearing hijabs.

To put it all in perspective, the United Nations actually has a "Special Rapporteur" whose sole job is to attack Israel at every moment of every day, and she is quite good at her job of slandering the Israelis and the United States. She got all huffy about the capture of Nicholas Maduro, because of course she did—she hates the United States with a passion—but now says she can't speak to the suffering of Iranians because she is just too darn busy.

Or she is an Islamist sympathizer. There is that.
You may have noticed that few associated with the transnational elite have said much at all about events in Iran. Iran is Israel's main antagonist in the Middle East, so they have all cozied up to the Ayatollah, and they probably don't want to annoy their large and growing Muslim populations, who have quite the propensity to get violent when annoyed.

Hatred for the United States is a core principle for most countries in the UN, and it has been for decades. Most members of the United Nations consider themselves part of the "Global South," which is another and nicer word for the Third World. They occasionally bow to the US when they want our money, but spend most of their efforts with one hand out and another poised to slap us and our allies.

Let's not forget the bitter irony:
Iran sits on the UN Human Rights Council, elected to judge global rights abuses, while its regime guns down hundreds of protesters at home.

We don't know the real death toll in Iran, of course, because the regime has been working to keep information from getting out. But the regime rightly sees the uprising as an existential threat, and has made it clear they will continue the killing until either the protests stop or the regime falls.

It's pretty clear that at least a plurality, and perhaps a majority, of the UN members are hoping the Ayatollah stays in power. Ironically, that does not include the Arab members who rightly see Iran's support of Islamists as a threat to their own regimes and the stability of the region.
Iran is allied with Russia, China, and other bad actors, including (until recently, at least), Venezuela. It is a key supporter of terrorism.
That's just fine, according to the fine folks at the UN.
