Former CNN host Don Lemon has been arrested for his participation in the Minneapolis Cities Church protest. His brand of “journalism” has always been more of a pandering to whatever leftist group he liked. Previously, a Judge refused to sign an arrest warrant for him. This time, the arrest was made via a Grand Jury indictment. Unfortunately, the court released him with no bail.
Lemon confronted people at the church in ways that terrified children. He attempted to force the Pastor to say things that went against his faith.
His attorney, Abbe Lowell, will likely drive everyone to drink with his constant motions. Lemon’s arrest is not an “attack on the First Amendment.” Lemon himself actually engaged in a definite attack on the First Amendment by accosting the worshipers at Cities Church.
“Don Lemon was taken into custody by federal agents last night in Los Angeles, where he was covering the Grammy award. Don has been a journalist for 30 years, and his constitutionally protected work in Minneapolis was no different than what he has always done. The First Amendment exists to protect journalists whose role it is to shine light on the truth and hold those in power accountable.” Abbe Lowell
This is why Lemon has found himself in criminal jeopardy. His own digital videos seem to incriminate him.
In footage that Lemon posted online, it appears that he was not merely an observer recording the illegal protest inside the church, which would be a typical role of a reporter. Instead, he seemed to be an active participant who embedded himself with the mob and joined their cause in harassing and tormenting the parishioners. Greg Jarrett, Fox
RE: Don Lemon
So Democrats are screeching that Don Lemon is being persecuted in violation of his First Amendment rights as a journalist.
At times like this, I like to flip the facts of the scenario ideologically while leaving the legal facts the same, and see if the argument…
