The Left’s fervent anti-ICE rhetoric continues to rain down, even though it’s incited progressives around the nation to commit acts of violence — or get caught in deadly incidents themselves, like Renee Good and Alex Pretti.

Each day, you think they can’t get any worse, not after miscreants like Philadelphia District Attorney Larry Krasner, Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey, and Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz continue to liken Trump administration officials to Nazis and compare ICE agents to Third Reich SS forces.

Democrat Rep. Jerry Nadler (NY-12), though, wants to get some publicity of his own, and on Tuesday, he laid out a disturbing scenario where it would be totally justified for someone to kill a law enforcement officer. He was reportedly speaking at a House Judiciary Committee meeting when he laid down his inflammatory, gaslighting remarks:

“What is really the major problem in this country today is the fascism in our streets,” Nadler said. “The attacks on American citizens, by masked hoodlums. If you were attacked by a masked person, you might think you were being kidnapped. You’d be justified in shooting the person — to protect yourself.”

“We see people being shot, for what? For driving a car?”

This is leftism summed up perfectly — make an argument, but leave out the key facts. Just “driving a car.” Come on, man. While that is not an outright lie, it’s awfully close; Renee Good wasn’t just driving a car, she was impeding a federal law enforcement operation and allegedly using her vehicle as a weapon. 

I can tell you right now that if I drove out onto the nearest boulevard, turned my car sideways, refused to move, ignored officers’ instructions, and then aimed my vehicle at one of them, I’d either be dead or in jail right now. You don’t get to do these things just because you support Democrat orthodoxy.

Nadler's bile sounds suspiciously like the “it’s ok to kill them” rhetoric we heard in January from Arizona Attorney General Kris Mayes, as reported by RedState’s Becky Noble:

It’s kind of a recipe for disaster because you have these masked federal officers with very little identification, sometimes no identification, wearing plain clothes and masks. And we have a Stand Your Ground law that says that if you reasonably believe that your life is in danger and you’re in your house or your car or on your property, that you can defend yourself with lethal force.

Vice President JD Vance wasn’t having it, and he called Nadler’s behavior “despicable” on social media. He threw in a little sarcasm about our permanently missing in action corporate press:

Jerry Nadler is one of the highest ranking Democrats in the House of Representatives and he is openly calling for people to shoot federal law enforcement.

The president’s eldest son, Donald Jr., also had thoughts. “This is demented,” he wrote in a post on X. “Democrats once again openly calling for violence!!!”

Yes, yes they are — and they’re getting results. The Department of Homeland Security reports that violence against ICE agents is up by a shocking 1,300 percent. We’ve seen two assassination attempts on Donald Trump, the killing of Turning Point USA co-founder Charlie Kirk, mayhem in the streets of Minneapolis, LA, New York, and more, yet these cretins just keep calling on their base to ramp it up.

Turns out there’s a simple solution to their complaints about ICE in their communities: simply have your state — specifically its jails and detention centers — cooperate with federal law enforcement. They steadfastly refuse to do that, however, and in doing so, show their true colors: they don’t actually care about the victims of violence.

What they want — and what they proved they want during the “let them all in” Biden administration — is unfettered illegal immigration. Any attempts to get a handle on it will be met with all the toxic calls to arms that they can muster.

Voters showed in November 2024, however, that that’s not what they want. They'll need to make that clear again in the midterms and in 2028 if this country is to survive in its present form.
