I Hate You — Now Give Me Your Money: Walz Demands Federal Dollars to Pay for 'Deep Damage' From ICE Raids

Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz demands federal funds to cover damages from ICE raids amid ongoing political controversy.

Some people have just unbelievable gall and a total lack of shame — former President Bill Clinton and California Gov. Gavin Newsom immediately come to mind — and Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz is proving that in spades. After his state refused to cooperate with federal authorities in their effort to clean up Joe Biden’s illegal immigration fiasco, and after endlessly demonizing agents who have tried to bring law and order to the Twin Cities of Minneapolis and St. Paul, and after apparently being completely blind to a massive Somali fraud operation that reportedly took in nine billion dollars in grift, the defeated Democratic vice presidential candidate thinks that your federal tax dollars should pay for his failure.

ICE was mean, he seemed to say, so hand over the Benjamins:

Minnesota Democratic Gov. Tim Walz is demanding the federal government "pay for what they broke" after the Trump administration announced it would draw down its immigration enforcement presence in the Twin Cities.

During a news conference after Border Czar Tom Homan’s announcement that the administration would be ending its Operation Metro Surge in Minnesota, Walz said federal law enforcement’s presence in the state was leaving "deep damage" and "generational trauma."

Of course, the real “generational trauma” experienced in Minneapolis came in 2020, when the man known to some as “Gov. Jazz Hands” watched idly by as arsonists torched huge swaths of the city, and his wife enjoyed the smell of the burning tires during the George Floyd riots. But that was all good with him, because it was for the right cause.

But when it comes to trying to get a grip on the illegal alien problem, or fighting crime, Tampon Tim is not on board:

"The federal government needs to pay for what they broke here," said Walz. "There [is] going to be accountability on the things that happened, but one of the things is the incredible and immense costs that were borne by the people of this state. The federal government needs to be responsible. You don't get to break things and then just leave without doing something about it.”

Fort Sumter? Tim Walz Flirts With Civil War Rhetoric to Deflect ICE Chaos

If Walz and his deranged attorney general, Keith Ellison, had simply encouraged cooperation with federal law agencies — who were enforcing measures passed by the U.S. Congress — and dialed down their incendiary rhetoric, then many of the bad things that went down in the Twin Cities probably wouldn’t have happened.

You own this, Walz, but now you think the hard-working American taxpayer should send your state more money? You may not have many impressive leadership qualities, but you sure do have a whole lot of gall.

Luckily, he’s abandoned his reelection bid and hopefully will remain but a painful memory.
