Congressman Randy Fine (FL-06) became the source of heated criticism when he said Saturday on social media, “If they force us to choose, the choice between dogs and Muslims is not a difficult one.”

The leftist response was swift, with House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (NY-11) calling him a “disgusting bigot” and Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (NY-14) saying it was “one of the most disgusting statements I have ever seen issued by an American official.”
The comment is pretty eye-opening when taken out of context — but it becomes more understandable when you realize he was reacting to a dog-hating tweet by a pro-Palestinian activist named Nerdeen Kiswani, who posted this broadside against freedom and canines on February 12:
Finally, NYC is coming to Islam. Dogs definitely have a place in society, just not as indoor pets. Like we’ve said all along, they are unclean.
Kiswani later said it was “obviously a joke” that had “the Zionists frothing at the mouth at this.” As my sister used to say when I unloaded a clunker of a wisecrack, “funny ha ha.”
Fine has not backed down — indeed, he proposed the “Protecting Puppies from Sharia Act” on Thursday — and he’s planning on upping the ante Tuesday night at the State of the Union address.
He’s going to bring a dog, you see:
Fine's guest to Trump's primetime address will be his father, Alan Fine, along with his father's seeing-eye service dog, Sadie.
"I think it's also important, given the issues that I burst into the public consciousness last week, to talk about the importance of our dogs as Americans," Fine told Fox News Digital on Monday. "My father's seeing-eye dog is part of our family and allows him to live his life, and I'm going to fight like hell against anyone who wants to take it away."

The media and the Left have shown tremendous outrage for what they considered to be Fine’s inflammatory post, but have spent precious little time on Nerdeen Kiswani’s toxic rhetoric. Her idea of somehow stopping us from keeping dogs as indoor pets doesn’t sound like a “joke,” it sounds like a plan.
I decided that Sadie deserves a seat at this year’s State of the Union.
My guest list for tomorrow’s address includes my father, Alan Fine, and his seeing-eye service dog, Sadie.

His tweet continues:
Dogs Make America Great.
I will fight like hell against anyone who wants to take them away.
Sadie the pooch will have a response Tuesday evening:
The dog will be outfitted with a shirt that reads, "Don't tread on me," which has become Fine's rallying cry against the outpouring of rage from Democrats over his controversial X post.

Fine’s aggressive style isn’t for everyone, but his dad is certainly a fan:
His father, Alan Fine, said he was eager to see his son on the House floor as a member of Congress.
"I'm actually more excited to be here to watch my son," he said. "More to see him than the president, to be quite honest. I guess that's because I'm a Jewish father."
It’s going to be an interesting night, that’s one thing we can bank on.
