Watch: Washington State Man Leads Police on Wild 100 MPH Chase Ending With His Jaw-Dropping 98th Arrest

Washington man leads police on a 100 MPH chase, marking his jaw-dropping 98th arrest in a high-speed pursuit.

The question: when did America (or at least, blue America) stop punishing criminals? How many times have we read about a freed convict committing a gruesome crime even though he’s got a rap sheet longer than the list of California Governor Gavin Newsom’s imaginary achievements?

This guy really takes the cake, though, because it’s not his third or fourth arrest. It’s not his thirtieth or fortieth. It’s almost his hundredth.

To achieve this dubious distinction, he led officers in Thurston County, Washington, on a highly dangerous high-speed chase that could have easily killed pedestrians or other drivers.

Watch:

The local CBS News affiliate, KIRO 7, reported on how it all went down:

This time, he allegedly led officers on a high-speed chase through Olympia after stealing thousands of dollars’ worth of merchandise from multiple stores.

Deputies say the man and a woman in the truck with him were also involved in a theft in Lacey just three days prior, where they were not apprehended.

On the night of the man’s 98th arrest, deputies spotted the truck heading north on I-5 in Olympia, and before even activating their emergency lights, the truck started to speed off. Deputies chased after him, but quickly stopped after an unsuccessful PIT attempt as the truck sped into downtown Olympia.

The truck began blowing through intersections heading into Lacey, deputies say. They called off the pursuit again due to the “extremely reckless behavior of the fleeing driver.”

A short time later, the truck was found abandoned near College St.

Deputies say they quickly found the pair walking in the neighborhood. Both suspects were reportedly taken into custody at gunpoint.

This guy is a four-time convicted felon with dozens of prior convictions. He now faces more charges, including DUI, attempting to flee from police, and drug possession. Found in his car: thousands of dollars’ worth of stolen merchandise, and a “custom bong device” built into the dashboard so he could apparently toke while driving.

But wait, there’s more: authorities also found meth, heroin, and fentanyl in the vehicle.

“Nice work by deputies and dispatchers to get some career criminals into custody…. Again,” Sheriff Derek Sanders wrote in the above social media post. Once can’t help but wonder if his writing “…Again” was a poke at Washington’s soft-on-crime politicians and prosecutors.

If it was, he’s right to do it, because it’s ludicrous that a dude with four felonies and almost 30 total convictions on his record was driving around committing more crimes. We don’t know as of yet if all his offenses were committed in the Evergreen State, but you can’t help but get the feeling that if he’d pulled his antics in Texas or Florida, he’d have been doing time and not causing high-speed pursuits.

I wonder if they’ll let him out so he can break the 100 arrest number? Sounds like something the Left would do.

America needs to make crime illegal again.
