The Looking Glass emerged from the collegiate environment of Rutgers University in New Brunswick, New Jersey in 1969, when a group of musically inclined students formed a band that would eventually capture the nation’s attention with their signature hit. Originally performing as a cover band at local fraternities and clubs throughout New Jersey and Pennsylvania, the quartet developed a dedicated regional following before catching the ear of Columbia Records president Clive Davis, who signed them to Epic Records.
