Fans Demand Refunds After Nightmare Traffic Caused Some To Entirely Miss Post Malone & Jelly Roll’s Concert At Thunder Ridge Nature Arena

Imagine driving to a concert and the traffic being so bad that you never even make it to the show. Unfortunately, Thunder Ridge Nature Arena in Springfield, Missouri doesn’t have the best track record when it comes to getting fans in and out of the venue. Parking, traffic and shuttle issues plagued a Garth Brooks concert there back in 2022, and though almost three years have passed since that disaster, the Thunder Ridge Nature Arena is still suffering from some of those exact same problems. If it is broke, don’t fix it? A sequel of sorts to that story played out this past weekend, when Post Malone and Jelly Roll stopped at the venue along their 2025 Big A** Stadium Tour. The duo performed at the arena on Friday, June 13, and for those that made it to the show… it was yet another high energy, memorable concert from Jelly Roll and Post Malone. The only problem? Some fans got stuck in such bad traffic that they missed out on Jelly Roll’s portion of the show, and some concert goers never even made it to the venue at all. Countless videos online show fans trying to get to the Thunder Ridge venue that was only a couple of miles away… yet their GPS was telling them it would take hours to get there. This fan claims that it took them three hours to go a mere six miles towards the venue: @haleyh95 The most horrific experience of my life. We did everything right and still missed most of the show. I am gutted. 3 hours to go SIX MILES from our hotel to the venue. Someone please make this right!! #postmalone #jellyroll #concertfail @Jelly Roll @Post Malone @Ticketmaster @Bunnie Xo #thunderridgenaturearena #trafficjam #concert #jelly #bunnie #posty @ⒷⓇⓎⒶⓃⓃⒶ @Ash Marie ♬ original sound – Haley That’s a complete and utter nightmare scenario. Some online claim that a fatal accident near the venue was to blame, but that wreck happened much earlier in the day (around 2 PM) and fans that left to get to the venue around 4 p.m. (for a concert that started at 7:30 p.m.) reportedly had no issues getting to the show. But others that planned on getting there at a time closer to when the concert was supposed to get kicked off faced aggravating traffic that wasn’t budging at all… and then a full parking lot when they actually got there. The venue holds over 20,000 and the parking lot has a capacity for about 6,500 vehicles… and there are supposed to be other lots with shuttle service, but it appears as though there are still some issues that can make for a logistical nightmare: @maggiestehlik thunder ridge stadium in branson needs to get their ish together bedause this was an absosulte mad house. we missed all of the openers and only got to see jelly roll preform his last song. #thunderridgenaturearena #postmalone #jellyroll #postmaloneconcert #jellyrollconcert #branson ♬ original sound – Mike Brigandi @amandaslogic #thunderridgenaturearena #jellyroll #postmalone ♬ original sound – Amandaslogic @rmptasn8380 We live less than 10 miles from the arena and waited over 4 hours in line.. told the parking lots were full… people were ditching their vehicles and walking to it! Missed Jelly Roll and want a refund! second epic fail from natures arena #fyp #postmalone #thunderridge #naturesarena #missouri #branson #fupシ #fypviral #viral #posty #jellyroll #concert #traffic #ridgedalemissouri ♬ original sound – mrsbucketlist7 Over on Reddit, it was much of the same. Those that tried to attend the Post Malone-Jelly Roll concert at Thunder Ridge Nature Arena banded together online in somewhat of a therapy session, venting about the horrid organization of the event and exclaiming that the venue shouldn’t host another show – or at the very least a big one – until they can figure out the traffic logistics getting into and out of the place: “We left town at 3 PM and had no real problems until we got to the actual venue. The traffic direction was terrible. A total cluster f**k. We left about halfway through Post and are already sitting in traffic to leave. Hopefully, we will make it home before sun up. I will not come to another concert here. And to think, they say they ‘fixed’ the issues.” “We stayed 16 miles from the venue. We left at 5:20 to head over and didn’t get there until 10pm. When we made it to the parking gate, it was closed and they said they weren’t letting anyone in or out and that the venue was over sold. And they didn’t know what to do about it. Our tickets were my Christmas present and were expensive.” “Every time they have REALLY big names at that venue, this happens. They not only don’t have the traffic infrastructure for it, but I’m positive they are overselling on the number of tickets. It is absolutely ridiculous! I have not even bothered trying to go to a show there, as I’m not trying to deal with all that mess. Remember the Garth Brooks debacle tying up so much traffic way far out, affecting so many not even heading to the venue?” “We waited in line over 3 hours and never made it to the venue. We were about a mile away at 9:15 and decided to turn around because we knew we would not make it. My wife called the venue and was told they wouldn’t give refunds and we should be ‘patience’ with them! I will be filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. I know it won’t do anything, but the more formal documentation there is, the better.” “It was awful. No law enforcement presence to manage traffic, no signage, incredibly bad management of inflow. We left Branson at 6:30 and got there at 9:30 and felt lucky to even have seen a bit of Post before we hauled a** to beat the crowd to leave. Awful experience overall. We weren’t going to get there for show start but we should never have missed Jelly. Feel completely cheated overall.” “The venue was a mess. Like many of you, my wife and I waited 2 1/2 hours in inching along traffic just to go 5.5 miles. We will never go back unless we hear they have fixed this problem in a large way. We missed the first 4 Post songs but saw the rest. He was incredible, show was incredible, venue felt like a literal joke.” And over on X (formerly known as Twitter)… more of the same: Dear @PostMalone ,I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to express my disappointment regarding your concert at Thunder Ridge Nature Arena on June 13, 2025. My wife and I were incredibly excited to see you perform, but unfortunately, we couldn’t make it due to severe… — Matt Wyatt (@MATFLY) June 15, 2025 @PostMalone and @JellyRoll615 at Thunder Ridge in Branson. Worst experience ever (and I have been to a lot of crowed events). Left 1.5 hours early. Took 5 hours to go about 8 miles – and then there was no parking. No signage or traffic control. Ended up missing everything. Sucks. — Darren O'Quinn (@DarrenOQuinn) June 15, 2025 @Ticketmaster @PostMalone so who is reimbursing us for our tickets to the concert at Thunder Ridge? Been in stand still traffic for over 2 hours and am lass than 3 miles away and still 1.5 hours from parking. Show started at 6:30. pic.twitter.com/3R7oeIK9yH — Dustin Baker (@DustinBaker84) June 14, 2025 And if you head over to their Facebook page, the comments section was CHAOS with fans demanding refunds for the disaster concert experience. Guess the morale of the story is beware the Thunder Ridge Nature Arena. It might be a breathtaking venue, but you have to get to it first… and once you do, plan on spending another few hours trying to leave. The post Fans Demand Refunds After Nightmare Traffic Caused Some To Entirely Miss Post Malone & Jelly Roll’s Concert At Thunder Ridge Nature Arena first appeared on Whiskey Riff.
