Soap Opera Icon Makes Incredible Donation In Honor Of Her Late Husband
Susan Seaforth Hayes portrayed June Williams on Days of Our Lives for seven decades. The iconic soap opera actress married Bill Hayes in 1974, and they shared 50 wonderful years together. Sadly, Bill passed away in 2024. Bill also had a career in show business and a treasured collection of scripts. Susan honored her husband’s legacy by donating them to the Writers Guild Foundation. She shared the news in an emotional Instagram post.
“What I feared would be a painful goodbye turned into a joyful hello today. This morning I made a gift of my husband’s collection of bound scripts from ‘Your Show of Shows’ to the Writer’s Guild Foundation,” she wrote. “My Billy was the show’s romantic tenor in the 1950s, before his Broadway debut. He purchased the bound volumes from the heirs of Max Liebman, the iconic variety show’s producer.”
