A New Weapons Trailer Wants to Know If You’re Watching

News weapons A New Weapons Trailer Wants to Know If You’re Watching It’s 2:17 am. Do you know where your children are? By Molly Templeton | Published on June 23, 2025 Screenshot: Warner Bros. At this point it seems pretty obvious that filmmaker Zach Cregger (Barbarian) and the studio behind Weapons do not want to reveal anything else about the creepy missing-kid film. The ads have gradually gotten slightly more revealing—more revealing than a digital clock showing a specific time, anyway—but with this second trailer, there’s a definite sense of restraint. The big-picture bits are still there: In a strange town, 17 kids go missing one night. They just up and leave their homes, arms out like they’re pretending to be airplanes. All the kids were in the same class at school, which means fingers point straight at their teacher, Ms. Gandy (Julia Garner). Josh Brolin is especially suspicious. But a little kid’s voice narrates part of the trailer, talking about weird things and weird deaths, and this time, there are a few more lingering and genuinely creepy shots, like the images of a bloody-faced man running around looking for something. In a shadowy hallway, two figures stand against a wall, beyond a line of salt. Salt means things, though what it indicates here is, of course, unclear. Are the figures on the other side ghosts? Spirits? Demons? Changelings? Regardless, probably this kid shouldn’t be stepping over it. Weapons also stars Alden Ehrenreich, Austin Abrams, Cary Christopher, Benedict Wong, and Amy Madigan. It’s in theaters August 8th.[end-mark] The post A New Weapons Trailer Wants to Know If You’re Watching appeared first on Reactor.
