Don’t let the Swifties get angry… That’s easier said than done, as Taylor Swift’s rabid fanbase holds the pop superstar to an incredibly high standard. So high, in fact, that they are starting to question if Travis Kelce is a good influence for the “Look What You Made Me Do” singer. Yes, that’s right… we’ve reached Taylor Swift’s “Is an NFL tight end not good enough for her?” era, and you already know why… Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce have kept a pretty low profile since the NFL season wrapped up back in February. The Kansas City Chiefs season didn’t end how Kelce and Swift would have liked, but the silver living is that they’ve both had some free time to spend with one another the past couple of months… likely for the first time ever in their high-profile relationship. Since the pop superstar and the Kansas City Chiefs tight end have been dating, Swift has been traveling the world on her Eras Tour during most of the NFL’s offseason. Now, Swift’s tour has wrapped up, as has the NFL season (and there’s plenty of time before kickoff of next season), so the couple has enjoyed some time out of the spotlight. That is until Travis Kelce had to fulfill a football commitment recently. Kelce, along with NFL veteran George Kittle and tight-end-turned-broadcaster Greg Olsen, came together to create a program called Tight End University. It sets out to help develop the next generation of tight ends at the professional level, and this year’s annual TEU event took place in Nashville, Tennessee. Obviously, that’s a very convenient location for Taylor Swift, who just so happens to have grown up in Hendersonville, Tennessee – minutes away from Nashville. It honestly would have been weird not to see Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce spending time together in Music City… but for Swifties, they may have preferred for Swift to sideline herself for the whole Tight End University thing. Taylor Swift fans were first upset to see the pop star and her football-playing boyfriend hanging out at Jason Aldean’s Downtown Bar a couple of nights ago. A day later, Taylor Swift put on a surprise performance at Nashville’s Brooklyn Bowl during the “Tight Ends & Friends” charity concert. Many country music stars, like Chase Rice, Kane Brown and others, performed at a Tight End University benefit event, and many other stars were in attendance. Like former NFL players, Taylor Lewan and Will Compton. Many of you might know those names as the hosts of the Bussin’ With The Boys podcast. But Swifties evidently know Lewan and Compton as “Trump Supporters,” since they had the President of the United States on their podcast prior to last year’s presidential election. Swift and Kelce posed for a flex picture with Lewan and Compton, and Taylor Swift fans are now going as far to crop the Bussin’ With The Boys hosts out of the picture, leaving only a flexing Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce. God forbid some people with different political views hang out with each other, you know? That’s what tires me the most about politics. Two people with differing viewpoints on politics apparently can’t even be in the same room together. In reality, it’d be healthy – and we’d all be better off – if we didn’t always surround ourselves with like-minded people. Taylor Swift hasn’t entered her “MAGA era.” She just so happens to be hanging out with others that may or may not have different views on politics. And the Swifties are calling for her to break up with Travis Kelce because of it. Seems like a stretch to me… but I’ve never fully understood the thought process of Taylor Swift fans.
