Make a thing: Atari ST Kid Grid Dev Diary #1

t has been at least 15 years since I completed a game of my own and more than 10 since I did any real finished game coding at all. I have only even finished one ST game (in 1990) and even though I have done a lot of tests and tutorials over the last 5 years here on the channel, none have resulted in a complete game and my skills have been so focused on rendering and I have avoided trying to do complex data structures and game mechanics in STOS basic. But games are more than rendering of course. But, it’s time. I have spent so much time talking about other peoples games that I have seemingly lost the art of developing my own. I Figured that that the best way would be to start taking inspiration from some Atari band C64 classics, por them to the ST with some STe upgrades where possible and get my brain going again on game development. The first game I wanted to attempt is Kid Grid, an Amidar like game from the early 80s.
