The Black Sabbath co-founder and guitarist Tony Iommi revealed, in an interview with BBC Midlands Today, that Ozzy Osbourne is singing fine and will perform four songs at Sabbath's final show that happens this July 5, at the Villa Park in Birmingham, the band's hometown. Ozzy has been dealing with a number of health issues during the past decades, including Parkinson's disease. What Tony Iommi said about Ozzy Osbourne and their performance "This is totally different from anything else we've done. You know, we've played to 300,000 people, but this is nerve-racking. We're playing in our hometown, we've got all these bands on with us, and we haven't played together for 20 years." "He (Ozzy) might not be able to do the whole show, but he's gonna do four songs. He's singing fine. It's just a shame to see the way it is. But that's life, I suppose. You've just gotta get on with it. But we're all looking forward to it, and all nervous as well, which is very unusual," Tony Iommi said. It’s not clear whether Ozzy will also perform some of his solo classics in addition to Black Sabbath songs, since the "opening act" of the show will be a celebration of his solo career. It's worth noting that other former members of the band, such as drummer Vinny Appice, were not invited. This is somewhat predictable, as since the band's final reunion in the past decade, the official Black Sabbath website and social media have ignored the other eras of the group, giving the impression that only the original lineup existed.
