Jake the cowboy robot is a product of Unitree Robotics, a Chinese tech company. The Unitree G1 model has been available since May 2024 and carries a starting base price of around $16,000. This innovative robot is not autonomous. A human handler remotely operates him. Jake speaks in Gen Z and Gen Alpha slang, sounding very much like a teenager. Older people might need a translator.
