News KPop Demon Hunters You Have One Weekend to See — and Sing Along With — KPop Demon Hunters in Theaters We dreamin’ hard, we came so far By Molly Templeton | Published on August 12, 2025 Credit: Netflix Comment 0 Share New Share Credit: Netflix Were the Wicked singalong screenings not enough for you? Have you already watched KPop Demon Hunters on Netflix multiple times? If both of these things are true, get yourself to SingKPopDemonHunters.com right quick and nab tickets for the one-weekend-only singalong screenings that are coming to theaters later this month. For the uninitiated—if any such people still exist—KPop Demon Hunters is such a big smash hit for Netflix that the streamer has been referring to it as their Frozen. In other words, it’s about to become a massive beast of a franchise. As The Wrap says, “Like Frozen, it was an initial underdog that broke into a cultural phenomenon, reminding us that surprises can still come out of nowhere.” Co-director Maggie Kang told The Hollywood Reporter, “I think it’s going to be part of our lives for a bit. I don’t see the fandom slowing down.” The movie is about a K-pop group who are, as the title says, also demon hunters. As Netflix puts it: When K-pop superstars Rumi (Arden Cho), Mira (May Hong), and Zoey (Ji-young Yoo) aren’t selling out stadiums or topping Billboard charts, they’re using their secret identities as demon hunters to protect their fans from ever-present supernatural danger. Together, they must face their biggest threat — an irresistible rival boy band of demons in disguise. People love the movie; people also love the soundtrack, which includes “Golden,” which hit #1 on the Billboard charts in real life. The singalong screenings were basically inevitable. Tickets are on sale August 13th; the screenings are August 23rd and 24th.
