ICE to purchase AI tech that scans eyes to increase deportations
Immigration and Customs Enforcement is planning to purchase AI technology allowing them to scan retinas and identify people to deport.
The tech uses an app that allows agents to snap a photo of someone’s eye 10-15 feet away. Then, it will compare that photo to ones already in their system and even on social media.
